xtension of the validity of final residence permits and certificates of deposit – The applications from 15.04.2021 for the issuance of residence permits for exceptional reasons are exclusively digital
Extended until 31.12.2021 the validity of the final residence permits and certificates of submission of application of citizens of third countries that have been issued:
1.From 01.01.2020 to 31.07.2020, the validity of which was automatically extended until 31.03.2021
2.From 01.08.2020 to 31.03.2021, whose validity was automatically extended for 8 months from their initial expiration date
3.From 01.04.2021 to 30.12.2021
In addition, applications from third country nationals for the issuance of residence permits for exceptional reasons will be submitted from 15.04.2021 exclusively digitally, through the electronic services of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.
The reason for the extension of these permits and certificates lies in the restrictions imposed by the pandemic on the operation of the Foreigners and Immigration Directorates of the Decentralized Administrations of the country, as well as the need for a smooth transition to the digital age and consequently decongestion of the Service.
It is pointed out that the service of the public will be carried out -except in urgent cases which will be carried out by appointment- digitally, as a first step towards the gradual digitization of the services responsible for issuing residence permits to third-country nationals.
